Terms of Service

Effective November 4, 2026

Crowd'd is a marketplace where people team up to buy indie games and software. The more people join a group, the lower the price gets for everyone. These terms explain how that works and what we expect from buyers and sellers. Please read them. Using Crowd'd means you agree to them.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("terms") are an agreement between you and Crowd'd ("Crowd'd", "we", "us"), covering your use of crowdd.shop and any related services (the "service"). If you use Crowd'd for a business, you agree to these terms for that business.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Crowd'd. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Crowd'd with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away at hello@crowdd.shop if you think someone else has accessed it.
  • One person per account, and one account per person, unless we agree otherwise.
  • Every account can buy. To sell, you need to request a seller account and be approved (see Selling on Crowd'd).

3. How group buying works

  • Joining is a commitment. When you join a group, you commit to buy the product at the group's final price if the group completes. The price shown when you join is the most you'll pay. It can only go down as more people join.
  • Groups complete or they don't. Each group has a deadline and a minimum number of buyers set by the seller. If the minimum is reached by the deadline, the group completes and every member buys at the final price. If it isn't reached, nobody is charged and the group closes.
  • Leaving. You can leave a group any time before it closes, unless the listing says otherwise.
  • Deadlines can change. A seller may let a group extend automatically if it's close to its minimum, and may pause or cancel a group. We may hold or remove a group, for example if we think a listing is misleading. If a group is cancelled or removed, nobody is charged.
  • Limits. Sellers can limit how many copies one person can buy and how many people can join. Early-bird and other offers are described on each listing.

4. Prices and payments

  • Prices are shown in US dollars and may not include taxes, which may be added at checkout where required.
  • When a group completes, you authorize us (or our payment provider) to charge your payment method the final price for the copies you committed to. We may also place a temporary authorization when you join.
  • If a charge fails, we may try again or remove you from the group, and you won't get the product unless the charge succeeds.
  • Crowd'd isn't processing payments yet. Until it does, nobody is charged when a group completes, and we'll tell you before that changes.

5. Keys and delivery

  • After a group completes and you've paid, the seller delivers your product, usually as a key in your Crowd'd library, by the method shown on the listing.
  • Products are licensed to you, not sold. Your use of a product is governed by its own license and by the terms of the platform it runs on (for example Steam). Those are between you, the seller, and that platform.
  • Keys are for your personal use. Don't resell, trade, or share them unless the seller allows it.
  • If a key is missing or doesn't work, contact the seller first using the support details on the listing. If that doesn't fix it, email us and we'll try to help.

6. Refunds

Each listing shows its refund policy, chosen by the seller. For example, you may be able to leave any time before the group closes, get a refund within 14 days of delivery, or have no refund once the group closes. Sellers are responsible for honoring their policy. This doesn't limit any rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.

7. Selling on Crowd'd

If you sell on Crowd'd, these extra terms apply to you:

  • Approval. Seller accounts are by request. We may approve or decline any request, and may ask for more information.
  • Your listings. You must have the right to sell every product you list, and your listings must be accurate, including platforms, regions, delivery, and refund policy.
  • Delivery. You must deliver valid keys or access promptly when a group completes, and support buyers who have trouble with them.
  • Fees. Listing is free. We charge a commission of 10% on completed sales, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We'll give you notice before changing fees.
  • Taxes and laws. You're responsible for your own taxes and for following the laws that apply to your products and sales.
  • License to us. You give us permission to display, promote, and share your listings, names, logos, and images to run and market Crowd'd.
  • Moderation. We may hold or remove listings that break these terms or that we reasonably think put buyers at risk.

8. Requests and other content you post

You keep ownership of what you post, such as product requests and notes. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, show, and share it as part of running and promoting Crowd'd. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share. We may remove content that breaks these terms. Similar product requests may be merged into one.

9. Things you can't do

  • Don't break the law, or help anyone else break it.
  • Don't use bots, scripts, or extra accounts to join groups, vote, or otherwise manipulate prices or counts.
  • Don't list or request counterfeit, stolen, or unauthorized products or keys.
  • Don't harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
  • Don't try to break, overload, or get around the security of the service, or access data that isn't yours.
  • Don't scrape or copy the service in bulk without our permission.

10. Our content and trademarks

The Crowd'd name, logo, design, and software belong to us and are protected by law. You may not copy them except as needed to use the service. Game and software names, logos, and images belong to their owners and appear here with the seller's permission.

11. Disclaimers

Crowd'd is a marketplace. Sellers, not Crowd'd, make and are responsible for the products listed. We provide the service "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any group will complete.

12. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Crowd'd won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to Crowd'd in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law, or post content that infringes someone's rights, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim, including legal fees. This includes claims about products you sell.

14. Suspending or closing accounts

You can stop using Crowd'd at any time. We may suspend or close your account, or remove your listings, if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or to protect other users. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as payments owed, licenses to content already shared, disclaimers, and limits on liability) survive after your account closes.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use Crowd'd after a change means you accept the new terms.

16. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem, email us first at hello@crowdd.shop. Most issues can be sorted out quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Crowd'd is based, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

17. Contact
